About Chateau Tivoli
Situated in the historic heart of San Francisco, just blocks from iconic Alamo Square Park, Chateau Tivoli is a family-owned Victorian B&B in continuous operation since 1989. Originally constructed as a private family home, the four-story mansion underwent significant restoration before re-opening as a 9-room boutique hotel offering nightly packages that include breakfast and afternoon wine service. Rooms and suites are furnished with antiques, and common lounges harken back to the late-19th-century through a combination of period pieces, tasteful reproductions – such as Bradbury & Bradbury wallpaper – and an absence of televisions (though wireless internet is available).
Accommodating up to 23 overnight guests and 60 event guests, the B&B hosts social, corporate, and creative events, and boasts a central location at the intersection of some of SF’s trendiest, most vibrant neighborhoods: stylish Nopa, with destination restaurants, bars, nightlife and shopping; edgy Lower Haight, source of gourmet ice cream and local graffiti/street art; emerging Lower Fillmore, home to understated Michelin-quality restaurants; and chic Hayes Valley, a collage of beloved European restaurants, upscale boutiques, and some of the city’s best coffee. The Alamo Square neighborhood stacks up a high walk score, while public transportation, private car services (Uber, Lyft) and city bus tours are all easily accessible.
